Apple is currently proceeding with the beta testing of iOS 17.2 and the third beta introduces new features and optimizations. There beta 3 on iOS 17.2 comes first for the developers, with the public beta arriving for all interested parties between today and tomorrow. Here are all the novelty more interesting.
Apple releases beta 3 of iOS 17.2
Among the new features, in the Music section of the Settings you can add songs favorites directly to your music library. This feature is active by default but can be deactivated at will. As iPhoneItalia reminds, Apple added favorite songs with iOS 17.1.
As for the keyboard, Apple has included an option that allows you to disable inline predictions (suggestions as you write) as you type. This option can be managed by opening the Settings app, selecting General, then Keyboard, and scrolling to the “Show inline forecasts” option. Some users didn’t like the new inline text predictions but, to disable them, they were forced to disable the as well predictive text.
In the Phone and FaceTime settings, we’ve introduced an option called “Share name and photo using contact poster“. This option allows you to manage the sharing of your name and photo. You can turn it off, set it to Contacts only, or to Always ask, which requires confirmation before sharing that information with others.
With regard to FaceTimeif during a call you participate together with a contact blocked, you will receive a I notify. Apple will notify you when you join a call with a blocked contact or if that contact joins a call you’re already in.
About the app Photoafter updating to iOS 17.2 beta 3, you will be prompted for the consent to access to your Apple Music library. This allows Photos to leverage Apple Music to select songs used in the Memories feature.
