As usual for the end of the calendar year, the Japanese magazine Famitsu has just published a series of interviews with the great players of the videogame industry of the Rising Sun and among the realities involved in the initiative also stands out Atlus: according to what emerged, it seems that the software house is working to publish a big game in 2022 and many fans are already thinking about Person 6.
Atlus: Persona 6 in development?
In this context, one of the most interesting interventions was undoubtedly that of Shinjiro Takada, that is the product manager of Atlus, who spoke in general terms of the goals of the software house for next year referring to a large upcoming production:
“I have chosen“ challenge ”as the key word for 2022, with the hope of releasing a game that will become a pillar for Atlus. All of us at Atlus are working hard to develop this title in a way that is interesting and satisfying for everyone, so look forward to it with enthusiasm ”.
Words that clearly bode well, given that it seems to be a project on which the development studio strongly focuses, although at the moment it is not clear what it could be. On the one hand, in fact, it would be legitimate to imagine the phantom Person 6, but this sequel has not yet been officially announced and it would be strange if it arrives just next year.
It is therefore more likely that it is a new IP, on the other hand the software house has been working on for years Project Re Fantasy, a video game of which we know very little at the moment, except that it is a title that will recover the tradition of traditional Japanese role-playing games and that will be very different from the Persona series.
Be that as it may, Atlus is a studio to look forward to in 2022.
