If you were ever called “four-eyed” growing up with glasses, know that from now on two of those eyes will have AI “superpowers.” Or at least that’s what it promises Brilliant Labs for his glasses Framedesigned to bring artificial intelligence right before your eyes.
Frame by Brilliant Labs brings AI to (really) smart glasses
According to Brilliant Labs (via HDBlog), these glasses represent “the reinvention of glasses for the age of artificial intelligence.” Equipped with a display virtuale heads-upthese glasses use the technology of OpenAI to give the user a series of AI capabilities. You can wear them to ask questions, translate conversations or just for fun.
Brilliant Labs Frame AI Glasses come in three colors: Smokey Black, Cool Gray e H2O, with an adjustable frame from 58 to 72mm. The display Micro OLED, connected to a geometric prism, offers a viewing experience with a diagonal field of view of approximately 20 degrees. The lenses, available both with and without a prescription, show virtual reality for an internal day before the battery runs out.
The integrated artificial intelligence can also exploit microphones, cameras and speakers. All technical details that come with a weight of suns 40g.
As for the software, developers can find open source code at Github. L’app Companion Noah simplifies the management of functions via smartphone, allowing you to choose what to view.
The glasses are available for pre-order at $350, with first deliveries scheduled for April 15th this year. Later, however, Brilliant Labs will communicate a subscription, which should serve to remove daily limits on the use of AI. We will keep you posted.
