Death Stranding it’s about to become a movie. It was the announcement Hideo Kojima himself, which he communicated that he had tightened – with his own Kojima Production – a partnership with the Hammerstone Studios Of Alex Lebovici.
Death Stranding presto al cinema
I Games Awards literally burned down when Hideo Kojima announced Death Stranding 2 (the title could be provisional), but the news of the last few hours reports another very important warning: a film adaptation of the first chapter of the franchise.
To do this, Kojima Production has partnered with Hammerstone Studios.
That Kojima dreamed of turning his creature into a film is no mystery, but the fans were certainly not ready for such a beautiful and sudden announcement.
“I couldn’t be happier with this new partnership with Hammerstone Studios,” he said Hideo Which ones. “This is an important moment for the franchise and I can’t wait to collaborate with them (Hammerstone Studios, ed) to bring Death Stranding to the big screen“.
Are there any more details?
Currently almost nothing is known about the plot or the intentions of the two studios, but what is certain is that the Death Strading movie will introduce new elements and characters.
According to Lebovici’s words, the film will not follow the high-budget films typical of videogame adaptations, but it will be something more intimate.
In particular Alex Lebovici said that “We are thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with such a brilliant and iconic partner as Hideo Kojima, on his first film adaptation. Unlike big-budget videogame adaptations, this one will be something more intimate and grounded. Our goal is to redefine what a game adaptation could be when you have creative and artistic freedom. The film will be an authentic Hideo Kojima production“.
Nothing is known either of the possible release of the film, which will see among the executive producers Kojima Production US and theAllan Ungar.
Death Stranding, since its release in 2019, has left its mark on the gaming world and the choice to collaborate with Hammerstone Studios for the making of the film could prove successful.
After all, the Hammerstones are the studios that have already financed films such as Kung Fury, Barbaria, Bill & Ted Face the Music, Come Away and The Public. Expectations, therefore, can only be high.
