The wait is finally over: Diablo 2 Resurrected is available all over the world, to the delight of all fans of this historic franchise. This remaster goes to rediscover the second chapter of the series, released 21 years ago and which has been able to establish itself as an icon of what Diablo represents for the gaming industry. Diablo 2 Resurrected is available
Diablo 2 is, in its core gameplay a Action RPG in the third person with isometric view. The game asks the user at the beginning of the game to choose their character among seven playable classes to throw themselves into the ruthless game world. This remastered version of the game seems to want to retain its identity, allowing players to do a jump in the past, with a completely revised technical sector.
The graphics and performance update has been taken over by the Vicarious Visions team and, in addition to modernizing textures and graphics, has made small changes here and there to make the entire play system more streamlined, especially as regards menu of game and theSKIN, definitely more elegant in the remaster version.
This choice is particularly effective, because it allows you to consult the menu more easily, which now counts the possibility of render our character in HD and our equipment, not to mention that all sprites of objects are now more easily intelligible than in the past.
The most interesting part of this visual update process is that the team has implemented the ability to switch from the remaster version to the original one by pressing a single button, which allows us to realize more effectively the goodness of the restoration work carried out by Vicarious Visions.
What changes?
From the point of view of the aesthetic impact, Diablo 2 Resurrected seems almost a new game, and it is no coincidence. Vicarious Visions in fact did a painstaking job in rebuilding the original scaffolding on top textures, game effects, animations and much more, that make this title seem like a remake more than just a remaster.
The team also decided to review the aesthetics of some objects, in order to make them more suitable for the visual sector of the new game, while the framerate, to the delight of many, it will be unlocked. As for the resolution, this can go up to 4K, while the 3D models of the characters are back in better shape than ever with new animations and the ability to zoom to see them more closely.
The audio sector, on the other hand, remains identical to that of the original game, not that it is a problem, since the soundtrack was one of the flagships of Diablo 2. Instead, all the game videos have been renewed, which have been adapted to the new artistic direction .
Finally Diablo 2 Resurrected will take advantage of the Battle.net, like all other recent Blizzard video games, allowing players to communicate with each other more quickly and immediately without too many infrastructure in between, such as codes and requests for messages.
