DJI Mic 2, price and features of the new microphone
The DJI Mic 2 was created to guarantee recording quality in any context, according to DJI. Paul Pan, the company’s Senior Product Line Manager, explains: “DJI Mic 2 represents a step forward in audio recording technology. We’ve combined high-quality recording features, user-friendly design, and remarkable stability to give content creators the tools they need to capture stunning audio, no matter where their creativity takes them.”
DJI Mic 2 allows omnidirectional recording optimized for vocal clarity. You can use it for vlogs, interviews or recording in various environments. Furthermore, the DJI Mic 2 integrates intelligent technology for noise elimination, excellent in noisy environments (and after having recorded video and audio between the stands of CES, we understand the importance of this function). By reducing background noise, voices should sound clear, even in windy or high-motion scenarios.
The function Safety Track (Security Track) allows creators to registerand a second track at -6 dB next to the main audio track, to protect against unexpected audio level spikes. Even in complex and chaotic environments, such as concerts, the DJI Mic 2 should guarantee balanced results.
Simple and intuitive
Another strong point of DJI Mic 2 is the cmetal charging case, which also includes a newly added locking latch, which should prevent accidental drops during use. Available in two colours, Shadow Black e Pearly whitewith the case you will always have the microphones charged.
The DJI Mic 2 simplifies every start-up process: simply open the charging case and the DJI Mic 2 will turn on, automatically pairing the receiver and transmitters while charging. You can connect it to DJI Osmo Action 4, DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and smartphone devices via Bluetooth. Even easier to connect recording devices via USB-C, Lightning and 3.5mm TRS adapters with analogue output.
Equipped with a 1.1-inch OLED touchscreen coupled with a precision wheel, the DJI Mic 2 offers quick access to the most important information. You can easily adjust volume, gain, brightness and more. Plus, it has a magnetic attachment for quick concealment, with transmitters offering an intuitive clip-on design.
The technical characteristics
The microphone has an internal recording in float a 32 bit8GB internal memory per transmitter and offers up to 14 hours of uncompressed audio recording at 48 kHz and 24 bit. It offers dual-channel recording to capture audio from two sources simultaneously, improving efficiency during post-production.
DJI assures us great stability, with a maximum audio transmission distance of 250 meters in open environments. The operational autonomy of 6 oreextendable up to 18 ore with charging case, makes it simple to use in different conditions.
