DJI he just launched DJI Dock 2, designed to automate aerial operations with a “drone in a box” solution. This new system, which includes the drone DJI Matrice 3D/3TDsimplifies detection, inspection, asset management and security operations.
DJI Dock 2, for autonomous drone operations
Con DJI Dock 2, the company aims to further simplify complex and dangerous jobs by offering an automated solution that allows you to operate from a safe distance. Compared to its predecessor, it is 75% smaller and 68% lighter, with dimensions of just 570 mm x 583 mm x 465 mm and a weight of 34 kg. This makes it easily transportable by two adultsgreatly simplifying installation.
The site evaluation for the implementation of Dock 2 goes from 5 hours to just 12 minutes, thanks to the use of vision sensors that ensure good reception of the GNSS signal. Furthermore, the system can operate in adverse weather conditions, thanks to its IP55 classification for resistance to dust and water, and the ability to monitor weather changes in real time.
The remote operations with Dock 2 are made possible through intelligent cloud-based features, such as the creation of high-precision 3D models and automatic camera angle programming. Operators can control the angle of the stabilizer remotely, while the internal and external fisheye lenses provide information on environmental conditions. Furthermore, it only needs maintenance every six months. In case of power failure, it can operate independently for 5 hours thanks to the built-in battery.
DJI Matrice 3D/3TD
Il DJI Matrice 3D/3TD, included in Dock 2, features integrated RTK antennas, omnidirectional obstacle detection, and automatic obstacle bypass, ensuring a high success rate in automated missions. With a flight autonomy of 50 minutes and an operating range of 10 km, these drones are designed to meet high-level operational needs.
DJI Dock 2 presents itself as a cutting-edge solution for automated aerial operations, offering companies a safer, more efficient and economical way to manage their daily activities. Find more information on the official website.
