Il nuovo purificatore Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde features an enhanced filtration system, delivers double the intensity of airflow, and sets a new standard in acoustics, taking indoor purification to the next level
The new Dyson air purifier: technical characteristics
The Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde uses the cone aerodynamics system to guarantee 10 meter airflow projection, a new K-Carbon filter for three times greater NO2 capture and a CO2 sensor for a healthy and comfortable indoor environment. In addition to powerful projection, the Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde is also designed to work silentproducing just 56 decibels of noise, making it the quietest yet most powerful Dyson purifier.
The Dyson air purifier has new cone aerodynamics: powerful 10 meter projection
The Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde represents a breakthrough in air purification, as Dyson engineers solve problems related to weak airflow projection in large rooms. Conventional large-format purifiers typically diffuse air upwards, or have a weak projection that reduces their ability to achieve thorough cleaning of large rooms. To achieve a better result, Dyson engineers have developed a new low-pressure, energy-efficient air delivery system: cone aerodynamics.
Breeze mode
Dyson’s commitment to airflow research led our engineers to spend over 3 years collecting 40 million data points to recreate a natural breeze at home. It has been scientifically proven that the sensation of a Seemingly random air movement is more refreshing than a stationary blast of aira phenomenon called thermal alliesthesia.
Dyson engineers used a 3-axis ultrasonic anemometer at 8 different locations to study the shape and frequency of wind gusts, using this data to inform a unique software algorithm that controls a single jet of air, causing it to oscillate in a rising and falling motion that mimics natural breeze patterns.
Three fully sealed filtration stages
The Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet is designed to continuously clean the air, even in large spaces. Some common sources of indoor air pollution are tobacco smoke, household cleaning products, building materials, and outdoor air pollution. These sources emit pollutants such as formaldehyde, VOCs, NO2 and ozone.
The machine is equipped with an improved filtration system to capture all these harmful pollutants; it is a completely sealed system, which ensures that only clean air is projected into the room and that pollutants remain trapped in the filter. By implementing all three layers of filtration and improving HEPA filter life by 5x, Dyson engineers have taken filtration performance to the next level:
Silence at maximum power
To be effective, many conventional large-format purifiers must be operated at maximum speed, generating noise that is unacceptable to users. For this reason, many fail to fully exploit their potential. Our in-house team of noise and vibration engineering experts have redesigned the compressor unit, so the Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde projects a powerful airflow with minimal noise.
