Today EA Sports announced a “Unique multi-year partnership” with La Ligathe top Spanish football division, which hosts the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The partnership, which begins in the 2023/2024 season, “will enable both parties to deliver groundbreaking experiences for football fans around the world” and will include title name rights for all La Liga competitions. A real rebranding that will include logos, graphics, fonts and other visual elements.
Spanish La Liga and EA Sports: all the details of the operation
The deal – which is reportedly will cost EA Sports 30 million euros – will bring to the software house the exclusive rights of the Spanish league on EA Sports FC, the new football videogame that will replace the FIFA franchise (given the expiry of the rights with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association). In May, it was in fact confirmed that FIFA and EA would officially conclude their partnership with the release of the next FIFA 23.
