Ecovacs Deebot T10+.
At first glance it looks like the other products in the Ecovacs range so what sets it apart from its brothers? And who is this robot vacuum cleaner dedicated to, which can also wash the floor of the house? We tell you about it in this review.
The Ecovacs Deebot T10 + review
As anticipated, Deebot T10+ belongs to the category of hybrid products of Ecovacs, that is, those robot vacuum cleaners that also take care of washing.
By default, use only water but know that Ecovacs has developed a cleaner dedicated to its robot vacuum cleaners that you can buy separately and that allows you to further raise the level of cleaning.
Design
Aesthetically, Ecovacs Deebot T10 + is identical to its siblings. And yes, it exists only in white color.
To characterize it we find the classic circular shape, with a small “tower” that houses True Mapping 2.0 technology sensors e 3 microphones which allow you to call up Ecovacs’ voice assistant, Yiko. Also on the upper part you will find the button for starting in Auto mode, while removing the cover, which magnetically hooks to the rest of the robot, you can access the switch for switching on and off, the small button for resetting the WiFi and the dust container.
On the front we find the anti-collision sensors, the AIVI camera and the bumper to mitigate the very few collisions that Deebot T10 + will encounter while on the back we have an element that can be removed and replaced. In fact, this robot vacuum cleaner comes with installed the environmental perfumer, which allows you to vacuum the dust and perfume the environment at the same time. Inside the package, however, you will find the water tank which also allows washing. You are therefore free to choose which appendix to attach, an operation that will really take a few seconds.
Finally, on the lower part we find two side brushes which are used to collect the dirt and feed it to the main brushwhich can exercise a suction power of 3000 Pascal.
This however is Deebot T10.
It becomes “Plus” with the addition of the basea base that not only takes care of recharging it but also to empty the 400ml dust tank for you. In just 10 seconds.
There may be two questions that arise now:
The dust runs out a bag that self-seals during extraction, so there is no dispersion of particles. Know that a bag lasts up to 60 days with a medium to large house but can also last up to 180 days with smaller houses. Once full, you will have to buy the spare ones, with the 3 pack costing € 19.90.
However, the tank remains removable because this allows you to wash it every now and then and replace the filter if necessary. Among other things, the Ecovacs Home application shows you the status of all elements, telling you how many hours of use they can still withstand.
Ecovacs Deebot T10 + review: installation and operation
There is nothing complicated about Ecovacs Deebot T10 +.
Once you have extracted all the elements from the box you just have to follow the instructions: hook the brushes, join the base to its pedestal, turn on the robot, put it in charge and then use the app for the configuration. In a few minutes you will be ready to map and clean the house.
Come? Everything is based precisely on the application. From here, in fact, you control everything.
You can initiate automatic cleaning or customize the experience, either by choosing whether clean the whole house or just a specific area or room both by setting the various parameters, parameters ranging from amount of water used at the suction power the number of passes to be done. The app also allows you to schedule cleaning deciding days and times and of activate Yiko, the voice assistant of Ecovacs who also speaks Italian. Nothing prevents you from taking advantage of it too compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Ecovacs Home also provides access to two types of map. The first is that 2D, which helps you divide or merge rooms, rename them and mark areas to avoid; the second is 3D, allows you to place furniture and start cleaning in a specific area associated with a piece of furniture. This means that you can not only tell the Deebot T10 + to clean the kitchen but also to clean the table area, bed area or desk area.
You also have the support with two maps, so you can use this robot vacuum cleaner on two different floors. And yes, he understands which floor he is on. He doesn’t take the stairs though, so you’ll have to carry him.
Finally, we point out the possibility of use the app to access the AIVI 3 cameras.0. The purpose? You can record videos, take photos or initiate a call with your Deebot T10 + and talk to those at home, or scold or reassure your pet. In short, if you want you can turn it into an alternative surveillance and communication system.
The field test
Ecovacs Deebot T10 + performs two functions: dust extraction and washing.
For the first activity he uses the 3 brushes and a power of 3000 Pa that allow him to clean everything, without difficulty. We have never found residues in the house and accumulations of dust, and it does not do at all badly even with the corners, with the side brushes that reach almost everywhere.
Washing, on the other hand, is entrusted to technology OZMO Pro 3.0 which is based on the vibration of the cloth, cloth that can arrive to vibrate 600 times per minute. So yes, she scrubs more than a human with a mop and mop. This technology is also designed to work well over the long term and above all to allow the robot to be quite silent during cleaning.
You will only have to worry about two things: wash the cloth from time to time (in the box you will find another one, so you can alternate them) and fill the 240ml water tank.
Keep in mind that we, with a house of about 50 square meters, had to fill the tank every 3 days on average.
You can obviously use Ecovacs Deebot T10 + only in suction mode, changing the appendix and using the one dedicated to the perfumer. We point out that the perfumer is not included in the package but not by the will of the manufacturer; In fact, Ecovacs had to adapt to European laws and therefore removed the capsules which can still be purchased separately.
The navigation system was passed with flying colorswith AIVI 3.0 technology that uses artificial intelligence to identify objects, people and animals, so as to avoid collisions.
On board we also find TrueMapping 2.0, the Ecovacs mapping system that uses the Direct Time of Flight (dTof) sensor to have a larger detection area and ensure maximum accuracy.
Autonomy is also goodwith the 5,200 mAh battery that should guarantee up to 180 minutes of autonomy.
“It should” because for the house where we tested it it is quite small so at the end of the cleaning it has a good 70% battery left.
The Ecovacs Deebot T10 + review: conclusions
For Deebot T10 + Ecovacs asks 899 euro. A price in line with the market considering that it empties itself, navigation is excellent, cleans well, washes well and if you want it perfumes the environment. And the camera also transforms it into an alternative surveillance or communication system.
