A new test for accounts Facebook allows you to create up to five profilesmarking a change of course for the social network of Meta. At the moment, however, the test is limited to only a few users.
Facebook tests up to five profiles for each account
The idea behind this new test concerns the possibility of using different profiles for different activities. For example, users will be able to have a Facebook profile for friends, one for colleagues and another for dealing with interest groups and influencers.
In the new test, users will be able to switch between profiles with ease by simply tapping a couple of icons on the Facebook screen. Profiles will be subject to the same rules, policies and any punishments, which will affect the entire account, according to the spokesperson Leonard Lam.
Lam explains: “To help people tailor an interest-based and relationship-based experience, we’re testing ways for people who they want to have multiple profiles on a single account in Facebook. Anyone who uses Facebook will continue to follow the same rules ”.
Also great news is that you don’t have to use your name for new profiles. The important thing is that i names do not violate the rules and do not include numbers or special characters. QThis means, for example, that you can use your nickname in the profile you use with friends, while your name and surname at work.
Facebook’s new direction could perhaps help offer new possibilities of expression for users, especially younger ones. Who increasingly prefer alternatives such as TikTok.
