Square Enix shared the roadmap to continue supporting MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 for the next 10 years, as well as announcing some of the future content planned for players. During the last Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, the producer and director Naoki Yoshida talked about a series of additions to the game that aim to help the game evolve even further into an online RPG experience to enjoy both alone and in company, as well as long-term goals, such as graphical improvements.
Final Fantasy 14: here is the roadmap of the next updates
Starting with the next patch 6.1, it was announced that the Trust system will be expanding, which currently allows players to take on certain main story dungeons with a team of NPCs as allies. This feature allows players to enjoy the story at their own pace, without the need to search for a team of other players. In patch 6.1, due out in April, the Trust system will be included for all A Realm Reborn main story dungeonsand more will be added later.
In addition, to support new players and those who prefer a solo experience, some low-level dungeons and trials of the main story will be modified to take advantage of an accessible solo experience.
Looking ahead, Yoshida also confirmed that work is underway for the first graphic update of the title. The first improvements will be included in the next expansion, and more will come later. Improvements are planned for both character and world graphics, and will include elements such as higher resolution textures, higher quality materials, and enhancements in lighting and shadow effects.
