Square Enix announced the Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier release period, the new battle royale for smartphone set in the world of Final Fantasy VII. The announcement took place on the occasion of the Tokyo Game Show 2021, where Square Enix has advised that it will be possible to pre-register for the game during October, and then await the official release of The First Soldier in November of this year.
Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, the smartphone game will arrive in November
Announced in February, The First Soldier is a battle royale game set in Midgar 30 years before the events of Final Fantasy VII. The user plays as a Soldier candidate and must fight for survival.
During the Tokyo Game Show 2021, Square Enix confirmed that the smartphone game it will be free and will include a microtransaction system. The controller support to ensure an experience that mimics that of a game console: just connect your smartphone to a monitor. In addition there will be tutorials, a training area and the Ninja fighting class.
FFVII: The First Soldier per smartphone will open pre-registrations to users in October, while it will be released in November 2021.
This is not the only new Final Fantasy VII mobile game in the works. Square Enix is also making a mobile game called Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, which is described as a “chapter structured” single player game that spans the entire Final Fantasy VII timeline, including events from the original game and Final Fantasy VII Compilation titles. This means that it includes Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, and Dirge of Cerberus. This game will be released in 2022 for iOS and Android.
