IIDEA announced today that the fourth edition of First Playable, a reference event for videogame developers in Italy, will be held in July.
First Playable: a Pisa dal 5 all’8 luglio
Come back First Playable, the most important business to business event for the Italian gaming industry. The appointment is from 5 to 8 July 2022 at the Republican Arsenals of Pisa. An initiative promoted by IIDEA, a trade association, which restarts from the success of previous editions. In fact, over 300 sector operators took part in the editions held between 2019 and 2021. A success also confirmed by the over 1000 business meetings with more than 50 speakers from all over the world. The result? Over 225 thousand views on the dedicated Twitch channel.
But it is not time to sit on the laurels of the historian, because the 2022 edition has new and ambitious goals. First of all, there is the desire to facilitate connections between the various realities of the sector. Not only development therefore, but also publishing and above all national and international advertisers. An opportunity for the whole market, for an event that will be totally free for Italian developers.
Specifically, the fourth edition includes:
- Coaching sessions
- Talking in person (but it will also be possible to follow them in streaming)
- Pitching
- Meeting between developers, publishers and investors.
Finally, last but not least, there will be Italian Video Game Awards 2022, which will be held on the inaugural evening of 5 July. In particular, the categories awarded will be 5:
- Best Italian Game: award for the best Italian video game
- Best Italian Debut Game: award for the best Italian debut film
- Best Innovation: award for the most innovative Italian videogame
- Outstanding Individual Contribution: award to the single Italian professional who has best distinguished himself at national and / or international level
- Outstanding Italian Company: award for the Italian development studio that has most distinguished itself at national and / or international level
