Ford Italia today announced a new partnership with PLB World, the entertainment hub of Milan, strengthening its presence in the world of gaming and esports. PLB, acronym for Power Leadership Balance, was born in 2020 from an idea of the two former Serie A players Christian “Bobo” Vieri and Bernando Corradi. Over the course of two years, the initiative has become one of the reference points in Italy in the field of competitive video games.
Specifically, Ford Italia is now a premium partner of PLB World, supporting the sim-racing activities, challenges, tournaments and training sessions with professionals, which will take place from time to time at the Milan facility.
How Ford Italia will support PLB World activities
Among the initiatives announced, Ford will organize a new session of “The W Track”, with courses on a virtual track, dedicated to women who love sim-racing motorsport. The company thus strengthens its commitment in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, with the aim of promoting equality, inclusiveness and gender equality in every area. Ford is certainly not new to the world of eSports, having already supported several virtual competitions. In fact, it remembers the Gamescom in Cologne in 2015, or the team Fordzillaborn in 2019, and engaged in the most important European virtual racing competitions.
The Fordzilla Team will take part in the scheduled training events, as well as a special Vanzilla tour, a traveling roadshow with several stops in Italy from the summer onwards.
