The new version of FRITZ!App Smart Home allows users to automatically control their Smart Home devices using geofencing. By defining virtual zones in the app, users can conveniently and efficiently control lamps and sockets in certain areas.
FRITZ!App launches geofencing function
The innovative geofencing feature uses GPS location data from your smartphone or tablet to automatically perform predefined actions when entering or exiting set zones. The new geofencing function is now available in the FRITZ!App Smart Home for both Android and iOS.

The FRITZ!Box detects the location of the smartphone via GPS when it is within a defined area. As soon as the user enters or leaves the area, the FRITZ!Box automatically starts predefined Smart Home actions. When you leave the house, all lights and energy-consuming devices can be set to turn off automatically.
Thanks to FRITZ!App Smart Home allows perfect integration of devices while reducing energy consumption. Furthermore, it is possible to set convenient push notifications that are activated when a user enters or leaves the set zones. The requirements for using the geofencing feature are the activation of location services, an active Internet connection and a compatible device with iOS 17 or Android 9.
