AVM announces the availability of the new FRITZ!OS 7.80. This is the free update with new features and improvements for four FRITZ!Box models: FRITZ!Box 5590 Fiber, 5530 Fiber, FRITZ!Box 7590 AX e FRITZ!Box 7530 AX.

In the coming weeks it will be possible to use the new version of FRITZ!OS on other products in the FRITZ! line. FRITZ!OS is available automatically or through a simple click within the FRITZ!Box user interface.

Initial setup via MyFRITZ!App
Thanks to FRITZ!OS 7.80, the four FRITZ!Box models are equipped with the initial setup wizard MyFRITZ!App. It is available soon for iOS and Android. This wizard allows you to set up a new FRITZ!Box on a fiber optic connection or on a DSL connection directly with your smartphone or tablet.
How to switch to the new FRITZ!OS
The update to FRITZ!OS 7.80 is available in the FRITZ!Box user interface (System > Update > Search for new FRITZ!OS). Or through the automatic update function.
