FUJIFILM: Increases global production of INSTAX films

FUJIFILM has announced an increase in global production of INSTAX film in all three available formats, mini, square and wide

FUJIFILM announced a capital investment of JPY 4.5 billion to meet the increased global demand for INSTAX films, resulting in an increase in production capacity of approx. 20%.

The production facilities that will be built as part of the new investment will become operational in phases, starting in autumn 2024. Demand for INSTAX films is increasing following the expansion of the INSTAX product line, which has multiple usesalso in the business sector: events and collaborations with partner companies.

FUJIFILM: Increases global production of INSTAX films

By fiscal year 2025, when the new production lines become fully operational, the production capacity of INSTAX films will be approx. 20% more than the current level. Combined with the effects of the facility expansion starting in 2022, production capacity will increase by approx. 40% compared to fiscal year 2021.

Since its initial launch in 1998, the INSTAX series has expanded to include analog instant cameras, hybrid instant cameras and smartphone printers, significantly broadening the user base from youth to older age groups.

Fujifilm in recent years has introduced the INSTAX mini Evo hybrid instant camera, the INSTAX mini Link 2 smartphone printer and the INSTAX mini 12 analog instant camera. Fujifilm will continue to expand the world of the “INSTAX” instant photography system that allows people to enjoy photo printing on site.
