We brought the Instax Mini Lilpay with us during the day, just to test its portability and its convenience for traveling. From the size of the print format and the coloring, it is more suitable for close subjects, whether it is portraiture or outdoor nature photography. The final coloring is still that of a vintage photograph, although there is the advantage of seeing the photo in preview and choosing whether to print it or discard it..
The menu and its features make it very immediate to use, except perhaps for the only flaw of the commands only in English, but which are still quite linear even for those unfamiliar with the language.
Precisely because its potential is the close subjects, this small room can also be used for artistic projects to be carried out in the studio. Obviously we are talking about a final product that has a strong artistic creativity and planning and that is not based solely on the quality of printing and definition. The narrow format certainly lends itself to portraiture details, also taking advantage of the characteristic white frame to write an accompaniment to the photo.
