Future Videogames 2023 returns to Bologna: here is the complete program thumbnail

All ready for the Future Videogames 2023, who is preparing to return to Bologna. The event will take place on September 29th at the Enzo Biagi Auditorium of the multimedia library of the Romagna capital.

The event aims to bring together professionals from the Italian gaming industry, with the aim of taking stock of the situation on the state of health of the sector, as well as outlining the path for the future. We use the term future not surprisingly, given that this is the key word of the entire initiative. It is no coincidence that the event is a spin-off of Future Film Festivalwhich takes place every year in Bologna.

The program of Future Videogames 2023, in Bologna on 29 September

The appointments listed below will all take place on 29 September 2023. The meetings will be hosted in the Enzo Biagi Auditorium, at the Salaborsa Library in Piazza del Nettuno 3.

  • 10:00-10:25 – Greetings and introduction to the day with Juliet Fara (Artistic Director Future Film Festival), Ivan Venturi (Bologna Game Farm; Italian Games Factory), Veronica Ceruti (Director of the Libraries Sector of the Municipality of Bologna) e Francesco Toniolo (Contract professor, Catholic University of Milan)
  • 10:30-10:55Peter Di Domenico (Contract professor, Dams Unibo) Narratives hidden by algorithms. The osmosis between storytelling and gaming
  • 11:00- 11:25 Federica Cavaletti (Research fellow, University of Milan): The gaming experience from the screen to virtual reality: an aesthetic perspective
  • 11:30-11:55Simone Baldetti (Research Fellow, University of Pisa): Videogames and religion. A legal perspective
  • 12:00-12:25Manuela Cantoia (Associate Professor, eCampus University): Game-based learning: 3-99 learning with video games
  • 12:30-13:00 Mauro Salvador (Game designer and trainer, Event Horizon School) and Riccardo Fassone (Associate Professor, University of Turin)
  • 14:30-18:30 – Students of Italian universities present the projects and research related to video games selected following the Call for papers.
