Yesterday evening, during the event gamescom 2021 Xbox Stream, Xbox has revealed some news and updates on titles from Xbox Game Studios and from successful partners. During the conference New gameplay details have been shared for some games that will launch on Xbox Game Pass later this year. Let’s take a look at the main announcements.
Gamescom 2021: here are the Xbox announcements
In view of the release on November 9th of Forza Horizon 5, Playground Games shared the first eight minutes of the game’s gameplay, and presented the cover cars of this new chapter of Forza Horizon: the Mercedes-AMG ONE and the Ford Bronco Badlands 2021. Additionally, the Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller has been announced, which features a vibrant multicolored design.
We then got an update from the Age of Empires team, which revealed a new narrative component ahead of the upcoming release of Age of Empires IV, called “Hands on History.” Particularly interesting is the fact that historical documentaries will be introduced in game, which we were able to see firsthand during the presentation.
It was also revealed the arrival of cloud gaming on the Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One during this fall. This will allow Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to play more than 100 games directly from the cloud and discover new titles at the touch of a button.
Here are the other noteworthy announcements of the evening:
- It has been announced Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update VI, available from 7 September, celebrating Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the new Junkers JU-52 aircraft, the VoloCity Air Taxi which will be released in November, and the partnership with RARA (Reno Air Racing Association).
- Sea of Thieves surprised gamers with a stunning set of ships designed in collaboration with the Gearbox Software team.
- Trumble Valley: The original map from the first State of Decay game is coming in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition as a fully remastered open-world playable experience on Wednesday, September 1, in the Homecoming update.
- Techland developers gave fans a closer look at the rich weapon modification system in Dying Light 2, which allows players the freedom to practice a certain style of play or to react to specific situations.
