No, don’t accuse us of circumventing the elderly: we don’t want to steal their pension. And no, don’t accuse us of going crazy either, because this article refers to a little game called Gandalf Oh. What is Gandalf Ai and how does it work
Gandalf Ai is a free browser game, playable on both desktop and mobile. As you may have guessed from the name, iThe protagonist is Gandalf and the game is based on artificial intelligence. So far everything is clear.
The aim of the game is convince Gandalf to reveal his password to us. However this is protected by the‘artificial intelligence, who will do anything to prevent us from discovering the secret word. The whole thing is made up of different levels (7 + one bonus) with increasing difficulty.
The player has a text box in which he can converse with the artificial intelligence just like ChatGPT, ask him questions, and hope to steal the mysterious password. Once you have discovered the word, you can enter it in the box below. If the password is correct, the next level will be accessed, in which the AI will increase the level of attention: in practice it will not easily tell you what the word is!
In the first level, just ask politely for the password and the chatbot will reveal it to us without too much fuss. However, from the second onwards things get more complex. We even tried to bribe the AI by offering them money, but they were adamant. After all, what does a chatbot do with a bundle?

What we have seen to be a simple puzzle suitable for killing time, is actually a well thought out experiment by Laker Ai. It is a company that, starting from AI language models such as ChatGPT, offers security solutions of various kinds.
Lakera AI aims to train conversational chatbots to recognize certain human words and behaviors. In this way AI chatbots can be used for chat moderation (recognizing and eliminating insults and toxic conversations) or, as in the case of Gandalf Ai, make sure that some sensitive information is not accidentally disclosed by the chatbot.
In short, at the basis of this fun little game there is the desire to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can prove to be a valid ally from a cybersecurity and community management perspective.
