Google has been working for a long time on a new smartphone with folding display, known on the net as Google Pixel Fold or Pixel Notepad. The smartphone should debut over the next few months allowing the American company to enter a market that has been attracting the attention of various manufacturers for some time but which, at the moment, has only seen Samsung record truly significant results.
New details on Google’s future foldable smartphone
Google’s new foldable smartphone may have several points in common with the future Galaxy Z Fold 4 from Samsung coming next summer. The two smartphones will have very similar size but the external display mounted by Google’s foldout will be 5.8 inches while that of the Samsung smartphone will be 6.19 inches. Confirmation came from insider Ross Young which also anticipated the arrival of new official details on the project for next week, on the occasion of the Google I / O. During the event, Google could present a concept of the project.
Still many months before the debut
Furthermore, according to what was reported by Young, the new Google leaflet will not be available immediately. The smartphone, in fact, will only be on the market during the Q4 of 2022. Note that Google’s new project may be available in a very limited quantity and may only arrive in select markets. More details on the project are expected in the next few days.
