On Thursday 13 January 2021, Microids Indie presented the content of the retail edition of Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands for Nintendo Switch. The digital version of the game will be released March 10 on Nintendo eShop and PC (Steam). The Switch version will hit stores on the same date. The retail edition is already available for preorder and includes:
- A special logo pin
- Themed stickers
- Two postcards directly from the ski slopes

Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands – a bit of “history”
Developed by the Swedish studio Toppluva, Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is a beautiful open-world ski and snowboard game in which you can explore entire mountains, with hundreds of challenges to discover and compete in. So, get ready to put on your skis or jump on the board and embark on a great adventure in the snowy mountains.
With over 8 million players to date, the game finally arrives on Steam and Nintendo Switch as well. This expanded and reworked version features significantly improved graphics and realistic AI, local multiplayer, new mountains, and more.
The characteristics of the game
A hymn to exploration: Strap on your skis or board and explore 12 huge ski resorts in open world mode. Discover the hinterland, dense forests with wildlife, crowded slopes, steep cliffs, high peaks and cozy mountain villages.
Lots of challenges to face: Super G, Slopestyle, Big Air and many other disciplines. There are also hidden challenges and secret off-piste trials to be found, and lots of ski passes to collect to unlock new lifts and mountains.
Skiing alone or with friends: you can choose whether to tackle the slopes alone or in local multiplayer for up to 4 players, to see who will cross the finish line first, but also to make snowballs or go down the mountains together, having fun exploring them together.
Take a break with Zen mode: Zen mode is about carving out a quiet and rejuvenating moment for yourself. All challenges, trials, collectibles, and even NPCs are removed, leaving entire mountains untouched for you to explore on your own. Grab a hot chocolate and enjoy the snow capped mountains at your own
rhythm.
