GTA +, GTA Online’s new subscription service, has been met with derision by the community.
What exactly does GTA + consist of?
In the past few hours Rockstar Games has announced a new paid service called GTA+, reserved for the next-gen versions (therefore PS5 and Xbox Series X | S) of Grand Theft Auto Online. The service, which launches on Tuesday, March 29, will cost $ 5.99 in America, but pricing for individual regions of the world has not yet been announced. To better understand what it is, we report the official announcement published on the Rockstar website:
“Being a GTA + member gives you access to a monthly recurring deposit of GTA $ 500,000 which will be credited directly to your Maze Bank account. [banca di gioco]. On top of that, you’ll have access to special vehicle upgrades, member-only discounts, exclusive GTA $ & RP bonuses, and more. “
Benefits will then be monthly, and first-month subscribers will receive GTA $ 500,000, a free yacht upgrade, La Mesa Auto Shop, free clothing and car customization options as well as other minor bonuses.
The reactions of the community: “Here we go again …”
The announcement is not at all liked by the fans, who consider it a “way to squeeze the most out of the game”. On Twitter and in the dedicated subreddit (ironically called “Here we go again…” quoting CJ from GTA San Andreas) the negative comments follow one another. “You can earn GTA $ 500,000 in about 2 hours of play and instead they charge you $ 6 for that” writes a user on social networks. “Have You Found Another Way To Make Money With GTA Online” says a comment. Another user stated that “you can earn more than a year of real money membership in one day of play”.

We’ll see if Rockstar Games takes into account this certainly not warm welcome reserved for GTA +.
