According to an insider, Rockstar Games had remasters planned of Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4. However, the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, met with huge criticism due to its flaws and bugs, forced the company to back down. However, both remasters may come out in the futureprobably after the release of the highly anticipated GTA 6.
The rumors come from the insider Tez2. The latter said that the remastered versions of Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 had been “in the pipeline for years”, but that plans have changed due to the poor reception of GTA: The Trilogy, last year.
As per a reliable source with clear accuracy on Rockstar plans, remasters of GTA IV & RDR1 were on the table a few years ago, but Rockstar chose not to proceed with the projects in mind.
The poor reception of the Trilogy DE might be a reason behind that decision.#GTAIV # RDR1

Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV remasters will arrive in the future
The Kotaku portal, which has confirmed the sources of Tez2, reports that Rockstar is currently focusing its efforts on developing Grand Theft Auto 6. After all, almost 10 years have passed since GTA V, released in the now very distant 2013. Kotaku claims, however, that the plans for the remaster of the two “old” titles have not been wrecked. Both could come after the release of GTA 6.
At the base of the strategy of the company could be the desire to pass as much time as possible, so that fans can welcome the new remasters without “prejudice”. GTA Trilogy, launched on November 11th, was characterized by numerous bugs and graphical problems. Additionally, at launch, the servers were inaccessible for several hours, preventing buyers from playing.
In the GTA Trilogy review our Daniele wrote: “Returning to retrace the streets of Vice City and Los Santos in a totally new guise (or asphalt?) Was really exciting. What further future patches can fix the problems that this version brings with it? “
