But according to the Government’s Department for Digital Transformation, more than half of Italians do not have basic digital skills: they do not know how to use PCs and smartphones properly. And he wants to try to recover with funds from the PNRR.

To take full advantage of the technology you need to have one awareness and adequate digital education for all who use it. And unfortunately the Italians are not far ahead in this sense. According to the latest statistics shared by the Department of Digital Transformation, only 46% of the Italian population has basic digital skills.

This means that more than half of Italians do not know how to move in today’s digital world. For this reason were born the Digital Facilitation Points. It is a project just launched by the current Government, which is based on a fund of 135 million euros disbursed under the PNRR.
The Digital Facilitation Points to be created in the area must be at least 3,000, distributed in all the regions of Italy. The goal is to have at least one acquire 2 million Italians basic digital skills by 2026. In all of this will play a key role i digital facilitators, of the professional figures who will be responsible for providing assistance to those who will turn to the Digital Facilitation Points.
Among the concrete tasks of digital facilitators will be providing the skills to surf the net, make calls or video calls, shop online, use one’s banking services and recognize fake news. In short, a fairly clear task on paper, but rather difficult if we look at today’s general picture.
