With the start of the month, here comes the April patch for Google Pixel smartphones. In these hours, in fact, all devices that support Android 12 will finally be able to take advantage of the new patches. Apparently, these won’t add any particular features, but they will fix quite a few bugs operating system. And the aspects related to the safety. Let’s go and see in detail what it is.
Google Pixel: April patches released
In these days the April patches will be released for the following Google Pixel smartphone models: 3a and 3a XL, 4 and 4 XL, 4a and 4a 5G, 5 and 5a 5G, 6 and 6 Pro. What will the changes made by the patch? According to what has been announced, they will mainly concern the wireless charging managementthe different ones camera functions and the user interface. In particular, there will be exclusive updates for the Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro models, which will concern “improvements to the performance of wireless charging with certain accessories”. As for the camera, however, these models will have a resolution of the problem that involved an “undesired zoom of the preview via front camera with certain Apps”.
For all other models, the April patches improve the user interface in general. Among the updates reported, here are some:
- fixed an issue that resulted in an error message being displayed when setting some live wallpapers
- Fixed crash in System UI while using App in Picture-in-Picture (PIP) mode under certain conditions
- fixed an issue that occasionally prevented navigation in the overview screen with TalkBack active
- Fixed an issue that caused Notification Shade and Quick Settings to appear invisible under certain conditions after changing the background.
To these, as you can imagine, others are added. Not surprisingly, the update also includes the security patchwhich correct 44 flaws – 9 of which of Critical level -.
