There have been rumors, speculations, rumors and many hypotheses. But now it seems to be certain: Hogwarts Legacy 2 may already be in the works. The news comes directly from X (ex Twitter), from a profile called @MyTimeToShineH. The user wrote that “sources have confirmed a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy is in the works.” The tweet was later picked up by Insider Gaming, who wrote, “Yes, Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. have almost certainly greenlighted a sequel to Hogwarts Legacy, given its success of the first title.”

In case you’ve been living in a muggle cave for the past 12 months, suffice it to know that Hogwarts Legacy is an action-RPG game set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. The player takes on the role of a fifth year Hogwarts student, struggling with a strange form of magic called Ancient Magic. Between lessons to follow, friends to help and spells to learn, Hogwarts Legacy maniacally reproduces the castle of Hogwarts and the village of Hogsmeade. In addition, the game is full of cultural references and easter eggs to the literary saga born from the pen of JK Rowling and the spin-off Fantastic Beasts.
