Honor is ready to launch its first top of the range since it separated from Huawei: Honor Magic 3 about to arrive. And it seems to have everything you could possibly want. Maybe even something more: the company has decided to surprise customers with one waterfall screen and a decidedly large camera sensor on the new Honor Magic 3.
Honor Magic 3 will have a great camera
The new smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer should be announced on 12 August, to then reach all over the world. And unlike what happened when the company was still under Huawei, it should have access to Google services and the Play Store. It also seems to have a Qualcomm processor. IS it should be the Snapdragon 888 Plus, the best that can be found on the market today.
Also, in a recent online discussion, Honor’s CEO George Zhao talked about the design of the device. Without showing it, he explained that it should have two colors: Blue Hour e Golden Hour. The names that are given in photography at sunrise and sunset. And it looks like the camera will play a central role through and through. Unveiling the first official cover, we were able to see a really huge crop for the camera.
Furthermore, the shaping suggests a waterfall display, which falls on the sides giving more space to the screen. After all, the Honor Magic series has accustomed us to bold design choices. So such a generous camera and tapered body don’t surprise us that much. What we ask ourselves is if the cameras of the new smartphone will be so powerful that they deserve a lot of space.
In the last year we have seen all the major manufacturers challenge each other to the sound of unique specifications and effects, with mobile photography increasingly at the center of the discussion to evaluate the best smartphones. What can Honor come up with to stand out in the group? The fact that we have kept the camera specs secret, with nothing reliable leaking out on the web, suggests that they have more than one surprise for August 12th. We can’t wait to find out which ones.
