Let’s discover the Honor Magic 6 and 6 Pro, the high-end smartphones with OLED displays, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 50 MP cameras
HONOR Magic 6 e HONOR Magic 6 Pro they are the new flagship smartphones of the Chinese company, which focus on artificial intelligence and design inspired by history and nature of China and on high performance. The two devices were officially presented in China at the usual annual event and stand out for their top-of-the-range technical characteristics.
Honor Magic 6 e 6 Pro: design e display
Both models are equipped with a 6.8 inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1264 x 2800 pixels and a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. The panel offers a peak brightness of 1800 nits in automatic mode and up to 5000 nit for HDR content.
The display also integrates a 50 megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Magic 6 has a single hole for the selfie sensor, while the Magic 6 Pro has a pill-shaped island (very similar to that of the iPhone) which also houses the module for the 3D facial recognition and the 3D depth sensor.

On the back, the two smartphones feature a redesigned photo island with a 50 megapixel main camera with variable aperture f/1.4-f/2.0 on the Magic 6 Pro and f/1.9 on the Magic 6.
The Magic 6 Pro also offers a 180 megapixel periscope lens with 2.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, while the Magic 6 has a 32-megapixel telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom and up to 50x digital zoom. Both devices also have a 50 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera.
Honor Magic 6 and 6 Pro: performance
At the processor level, the two smartphones are equipped with the chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, equipped with full support for artificial intelligence. Thanks to the latter, the chip offers high performance and low energy consumption, thus offering an excellent compromise between performance and consumption. RAM memory ranges from 12 to 16 GB, while storage space ranges from 256 GB to 1 TB.
Autonomy
The battery of the two smartphones stands at 5450 mAh for the Magic 6 and above 5600 mAh for the Magic 6 Pro, with support for 66W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless for the Magic 6 and 80 W and 66 W for the Magic 6 Pro. Finally, reverse wireless charging is also available.
Honor Magic 6 and 6 Pro: connectivity
Connectivity offers the Wi-Fi 7 supportBluetooth 5.3, NFC, IR transmitter and two-way satellite connectivity Hongyan Communication, exclusive to the Magic 6 Pro in China. This technology allows you to send and receive messages via satellite in the absence of telephone coverage, thanks to an antenna and a chip RF dedicated.
Software
The two smartphones are also dust and water resistant IP68 certification and they turn on the MagicOS 8.0 operating system, based on Android 14. The design of the devices is inspired by the history of Chinese civilization and the beauty of nature, with colors that recall black, green, blue, purple and white.
Conclusions
The prices of the two smartphones in China start from approximately 566 euros for the Magic 6 12/256 GB and arrive at approximately 861 euros for the Magic 6 Pro 16/1TB. However, at the moment it is not yet known when they will be available in Italy and at what price.
