Honor Mobile today shared new information about the smartphone on the Chinese social network Weibo Magic V, due to be published early next year: a short video allows you to take a detailed look at the appearance of the device, the company’s first foldout. Let’s take a closer look at all the new information.
Honor Magic V is shown in a video
Based on what is shown in this short video clip, we discovered that the smartphone does not have a “clamshell” design as initially thought, but looks more like a “book”, with a display that folds inwards. The 3D model of the smartphone shown is also quite thin and has a large external screen that gives the images a lot of breath.
Judging by the video, the Honor Magic V hinge has one “mechanical” structure rather complex. The outer surface houses a curved display with a selfie camera positioned high up in the center of the display. The camera is hidden behind a hole in the screen. Once closed, the display halves fit snugly together, with the main camera module rising slightly above the rear surface.
According to some previous reports, the boss of Honor, Zhao Ming, would have reported that the smartphone wants to impose itself as top of the range, which is quite obvious and likely for a folding model. According to rumors, it will be equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and should be launched next January.
Since these are rumors, however, we invite you to take this information with a grain of salt, as it could turn out to be false. The only certain thing is that the device seems to be in the pipeline, with a launch date not too distant in time.
