Honor confirmed that it will launch its very first foldable smartphone in the coming weeks: Honor Magic V, of which the specifications online. It seems that the smartphone will have all the features of a top of the range, from the processor to the camera. And two V-shaped wings as a screen.
Honor Magic V, specifications unveiled online
Honor confirmed the arrival of its first leaflet and showed some teasers. But it hasn’t revealed any official technical news. Fortunately, the tipster Digital Chat Station was able to get his hands on a ‘prototype‘of the device, gathering some information.
The device is expected to use an external display such as the Galaxy Z Fold3, with a punch-hole camera. Inside, instead, the V-shaped folding screen, which should have the selfie camera in the upper left. The external screen should be a 90Hz, while the internal one a 120Hz. The internal screen would be from 8 inches and termination by 2.200 x 2.480 pixels, while the external one from 6.5 in.
The interesting novelty lies in the processor, which should be Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 of Qualcomm that we have seen on the very first devices in the past few weeks. A top-of-the-range processor, designed to give the best. There is no information on the battery capacity but it should have the fast charging at 66W.
The main camera should be from 50MP, in all likelihood the Sony IMX700 that we have seen on the Honor Magic 3 Pro Plus. Excellent news, even if we do not know which other sensors will accompany it. An ultra-wide seems like an obvious choice and perhaps a telephoto, but no periscope.
Finally, the device should have it right away Android 12, with Google services. But to know other features we should in all likelihood wait for the release date of the device to approach. Which at the moment is not yet fixed but should be close. We will keep you informed.
