Honor announced the arrival in Europe of Magic V2, a foldable smartphone with a thickness of less than a centimeter and promising technical specifications. The announcement at Porsche Experience Center in Leipzig it also serves to launch a special version with a design reminiscent of a Porsche 911.

At the launch event, Honor also presented the limited edition Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR, with a design inspired by motorsports. In fact, the rear part resembles the bonnet of a Porsche 911.
But even in the “classic” version, Magic V2 has a truly interesting design, which incorporates over 210 technological innovations. It has a thickness of suns 9,9 mm when closed, and weighs only 231 grams. It has a Silicon-Carbon-Dual-Battery battery, with an average thickness of just 2,72 mmbut still capable of a capacity of 5.000 mAh.
The use of materials and production techniques is also impressive. We find titanium alloy (which we have recently seen on other top-of-the-range smartphones), but also 3D printing technology. And the SGS certification should guarantee over 400,000 folds: we should be able to use it for a long time.
A main camera from 50MPan ultra-wide camera from 50MP and a telephoto lens from 20MP: we shouldn’t give up anything from a photographic point of view. The dual front camera features two cameras 16MP. And the display should reduce strain on the eyes, with a PWM dimming technology 3840 Hz.
In addition to the racing car design, the Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR also offers a scratch-resistant NanoCrystal Shield, to offer greater resistance to the display.
Availability and price
The Magic V2 is available on the hihonor.it website and in Mediaworld stores (from mid-February) at the recommended price of €1999,90with a discount of €300 which lowers the final price to €1699,90. The device will be sold bundled with a charger from 66Wa cover and additional screen protection insurance for the first 6 months, along with Honor Earbuds 3 Pro o Honor Watch 4.
However, we do not know the price and bundle for the Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR, but we will keep you updated.
