Following the preliminary rounds that took place last week, the Gran Turismo World Series Showdown continues with other sparkling competitions. This weekend, in the spectacular Red Bull Hangar-7 in Salzburgin Austria, spectators will be able to passionately watch the best drivers from around the world trying to win. Let’s find out all the details and how to follow the event together.
The end of the Gran Turismo World Series
The World Series Showdown is a global online event in which the pilots compete for the placement in season 2 of World Series (rounds 3 and 4). The race is attended by i 2020 world finalists and the best drivers of the Season 1 of the 2021 Online Races.
The event is the midpoint of the FIA Gran Turismo Championship 2021. Each event (Nations Cup and Manufacturer Series) will take place in three races and the score obtained will determine the final classification of drivers and manufacturers.
Furthermore, the best drivers and teams will receive a maximum of 10 World Series points.
The event represents the first live event since World Tour of Sydney of 2020, which you can still follow comfortably from your sofa through the official channels of Gran Turismo. The tournament will see 12 teams of three pilots compete in the Manufacturers Cup. The first race will be held Saturday 30 July at 21:00 CET.
