INAD is going in the right direction, but it is essential to “accompany citizens along this path”: this is the point of view of FLPthe federation representing the public administration, rregarding the arrival ofNational Index of Digital Homes.
FLP on INAD: it is important to maintain a “double track”
INAD is a virtual place where citizens can register your digital domicile associated with a PEC address and receive communications from the Public Administration. This allows you to receive fines, important communications and any other type of notification from the PA in a direct and simple way.
According to FLP, “pending the EU legislation on digital identity, INAD cannot be the only way to receive communications from the PA. It is important that all PA communications reach citizens both in digital format (through INAD) and in traditional format, that is, through a physical address”.
Mark Charlemagne, general secretary of FLP, explains that “Otherwise there is the risk that a citizen who has more than one PEC and has not registered any of them with INAD will find all the important communications sent to an address that he does not usually consult, with the consequence that he may not be informed or receive late notices, even if urgent”.
“The INAD, therefore, is a step towards the digital transition and it can represent an important piece in this sense, but it still has to be used along with the traditional noticeotherwise, instead of being a help, it could represent the umpteenth penalty that the bureaucracy inflicts on the citizens”, concludes Charlemagne.
