INNO3D NVIDIA RTX 30 iCHILL Frostbite: integrated liquid cooling!

INNO3D’s iCHILL Frostbite series allows the new NVIDIA RTX 30 to be liquid-cooled. In fact, the latest generation GPUs stand out from previous cards. Especially if we are going to consider high-end models. Let’s see the details

The new NVIDIA RTX 30 are real beasts of power, but all of this comes at a price. NVIDIA RTX 3090 consumes 350 W and an RTX 3080 contotal 320 W, about 50% compared to the previous generation 2080. In fact, one of the characteristics of the new GPUs was the enormous size of the heatsinks they arrive at occupy up to 3 slots in some extreme cases. The huge heatsink, in addition to taking up space, also makes noise, which often annoys many people. One solution are liquid heatsinks which, however, very often must be purchased separately and must be mounted. Not the case with INNO3D’s NVIDIA RTX 30 iCHILL Frostbite series which offers a stock liquid cooler!

INNO3D, a leading manufacturer of pioneering high-end components, offers the new INNO3D GeForce RTX 3090/3080 iCHILL Frostbite. Following the huge success of its predecessor iCHILL Frostbite of the previous generation of the RTX 20 series, the new RTX 3090/3080 graphics cards also arrive with an updated version of iCHILL Frostbite. The new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs, the second generation of RTX, are equipped with new RT Core, Tensor Core and CUDA Core, delivering stunning visuals, incredibly high frame rates and AI acceleration in games.

Due to the great demand for water-cooled cards, the iCHILL Frostbite series was developed and paired with the powerful RTX 3080 GPU and the top-of-the-range RTX 3090 to ensure the best gaming experience. The latest addition to NVIDIA, the RTX 3080 Ti also received a liquid cooler. Obviously this treatment is reserved for higher-end GPUs that dissipate a lot of power and therefore it makes sense to use an advanced cooling system.

I high quality components combined with style and incredible RGB lighting are what sums up the Frostbite iCHILL, but the development of this waterblock graphics card design has further increased performance. The components have been repositioned so that they are closer to each other by reducing the thermal pads to a thickness of just 1mm. The thickness of the nickel-plated copper block was also reduced up to 5.5 mm. The flow of water inside the heatsink has been optimized compared to previous models of the RTX 20 series. The base of the iCHILL Frostbite is built with pure copper and nickel which completely seals the heatsink protecting it. All important components such as voltage transformers and memory are now noticeably better and more effectively cooled by water. All this guarantees a significant increase in cooling performance. It is possible to keep the GPU between 60 – 65 ° C using a 240mm or 360mm radiator.

Same heatsink, but different

INNO3D with the new iCHILL line Frostbite has tried to balance innovation with the continuous development of new products with already established technologies to obtain even more performing GPUs. With the RTX 30 iCHILL Frostbite series we get a water cooler that can handle the most demanding gaming titles today without overheating. And it’s not just about performance, but the eye now also wants its part.

The design speaks for itself, transparent, bold and striking which aligns with the new approach of INNO3D iCHILL Frostbite for the new RTX 30 series. Years of research and development have allowed INNO3D to make technological advancements, continually pushing the boundaries and strengthening its experience in the GPU industry. This allowed for develop high-end GPUs which guarantee top performance, without however bulky and noisy fans inside the case.
