There’s good news for those who want their Instagram stories to stay online longer: Meta is in fact testing a new feature called My Weekwhich will allow stories to last up to a week.
At the moment we don’t know when it will arrive, but from the first leaks we can understand how it could work.
What we know about Instagram’s My Week
The new feature, according to PuntoInformatico, will allow you to select your favorite stories for add them to a collection called My Week. This will remain active for seven days and will be visible to followers at the top of the main Instagram screen, along with the other stories.
Adding to the collection should work the same way as featured stories, so it should be relatively simple and intuitive. There is no limit to the number of stories that can be added and, as far as we know, it will be possible to set criteria for who can see the collection.
Not much else is known about the feature at the moment, but we’ll keep you updated as more information leaks out.
