A much awaited novelty is about to arrive Instagram: this is a function that will allow you to share visible posts only to a small group of people: the Closest friends. A feature already available in Stories, also extended to posts.

This option was discovered and popularized by the developer and reverse engineer Alexander Paluzziwhich revealed that Instagram is working on the ability to post hidden messages to all but a select list of contacts, Close Friends.
Instagram should indeed introduce a new tab called “Public” from which users will be able to choose whether make your posts public or reserved only for some friends. In addition, there will be a section dedicated to creating the Closest Friends list, which can be given access to hidden posts.
Already several users publish some of the Own Stories only for your closest Friends. Something especially useful for content creators. That they can use Stories to advertise themselves when needed, and instead post Stories to their close friends when it suits them best.
Soon, this feature should also arrive for the posts, so that users can decide to reduce the visibility of some content.
No word yet on when this feature will be available for all Instagram users, but surely we will know more in the coming weeks. We will keep you posted.
