Instagram: è ora possibile caricare video in loop nelle Note thumbnail

Instagram: You can now upload two-second looping videos to Notes

Instagram is enriched with new features to make communication between users more lively and interactive. Now it is indeed possible Share two-second video loops in Notes, the phrases that appear at the top of the DM box on Instagram. Additionally, you can send direct replies to Notes with various types of content.

What are Instagram Notes?

Introduced about a year ago, Notes represent the text-based alternative to Instagram Stories. Users can write about short sentences that remain visible for 24 hours. These are shown at the top of the app when you access your inbox (DM).

How video loops work in Instagram Notes

The app’s latest update expands functionality that, let’s face it, has never really won the hearts of users. What happens now is that whoever views a Note, instead of the classic profile photo of the user who published it, can see a looping video. The effect is that of Boomerangwhich won the hearts of the first generation of Instagrammers.

To leave a Video Note will be enough click on the empty speech bubble in your Note (or if you have already published one click on “Add new Note”). At that point, in addition to the text to insert into the speech bubble, you will have the possibility to click on the camera icon next to your profile photo. By clicking on it you can record a short 2 second video that will be shown in a loop. It is not possible to upload a video from the gallery, it will have to be recorded live.

Instagram note

The recorded video will replace your profile photo only and exclusively in the Notes sectionand will disappear when the Note expires (i.e. after 24 hours).

Direct replies to Friends’ Notes

But that is not all. Instagram also introduced the ability to interact with your friends’ Notes in a similar way to Stories.

Tapping a Note at the top of your inbox opens a shortcut to reply with a GIF, sticker, voice note, photo, or text. Replies to Notes are directed to users’ inbox along with other messages.
