Intel announced the debut of the new range of 12th Generation Intel Core processors for thin and light laptops. These are the new CPUs that will be used by light and thin notebooks arriving on the market over the next few months. The new 12th generation Intel Core range will be supported by all major OEMs. In fact, starting from March 2022, they are on the way more than 250 laptops with the new processors and all the main brands on the market already have new products in the pipeline.

The new range consists of 20 new processors divided between the P serieswhich will offer more power, and the series U, designed for ultra-portable devices. The new 12th generation Intel Cores use a hybrid architecture with Core Performance e Core Efficient able to maximize performance or efficiency as needed. Based on the new Intel 7 process, the company’s new solutions aim to deliver the maximum performance benefit per Watt. The graphics sector is managed by the new integrated Iris Xe GPU. There is support for DDR5 / LPDDR5 and DDR4 / LPDDR4 memory, Wi-Fi 6E and Thunderbolt 4. Intel has anticipated a multi-threaded performance boost of up to 70%.
