The new iPhone 13 will not have Touch ID integrated into the display. The confirmation came today from the insider Mark Gurman at Bloomberg which, in its traditional Power On newsletter, confirmed that the fingerprint sensor will not be included in Apple’s smartphones again this year. For those who buy a new iPhone 13 there will be the “usual” Face ID. For the future, however, there could be important news.
Apple has tested the Touch ID for iPhone 13 but will not include it in the smartphone
As confirmed by Gurman, the new iPhone 13 will not have Touch ID. Apple would start testing to introduce the fingerprint sensor below the display of its new smartphones (a now widespread solution among Android smartphones). However, the tests did not lead to a definitive solution. Also the new generation of iPhone arriving in September will have to settle for the Face ID he was born in notch.
Lots of news for the future
In the next few years, Apple is expected to be able to “Hide” the Face ID system components below the display. This solution will allow you to create a smartphone without a notch and could be proposed, initially, by the new Pro. For “low-end” smartphones, however, Apple could continue to use the Face ID and the notch or point to the Touch ID integrated into the screen .
More details on future iPhones will certainly arrive in the coming weeks. For the Touch ID, however, it may be necessary to wait until 2022.
