Last September 12, Apple held its traditional keynote to present its new generation of iPhone, which includes iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Just over a month after their launch, an ideal – Europe’s leading international price comparison portal – takes stock of the interest generated by the new series and the forecasts on the price trend expected in the coming months and provides a series of savings not to be missed.
Ideal: savings on new iPhones that you don’t want to miss
The first fact that catches the eye is that what is of most interest to Italian consumers is iPhone 15 Pro Max: 45% of users who are preparing to buy a new generation iPhone want this model. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro follow almost equally with 25% of the preferences, while the iPhone 15 Plus has collected 5% of the purchase intentions.
The peak of searches for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max was recorded at the end of September, while that for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus was recorded during the first week of October, also thanks to a series of offers from shops that they offered lower prices for both models.
The success of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
In detail, in fact, one month after launch, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max maintain generally constant prices (1,200 euros and 1,489 euros respectively). On the contrary, on some online stores it is already possible to find iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus at lower prices: one month after launch the iPhone 15 is available at a 17% lower price (from 979 euros to 814 euros), while the iPhone 15 Plus is available at a 19% lower price (from 1,129 euros to 913 euros).
But further declines are still possible. According to idealo forecasts, based on the price trend of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13, the price of the iPhone 15 could drop within the next 5 months, costing around 240 euros less (-24%) compared to the initial price . Cost which, according to forecasts, could remain constant also in 2024.
The models that have not currently shown a decrease, however, could be destined for lower costs within the next 6 months. In detail, according to idealo forecasts, the iPhone 15 Pro could cost 20% less, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max 21% lessalways compared to the launch price.
