TeamItaly, the team of young experts of cybersecurity who represented Italy to the European Championships from ethical hackers takes third place. Our boys, led by the coach Mario Polino and coordinated by Gaspare Ferraro, conquered the podium among the best safety experts on the continent, just behind Poland and the champion Germany.

18 European national teams, made up of 10 computer athletes aged 16 and 23 years old. The future of online security, which has faced opponents in trials of cryptography, web security, forensic analysis of computers and mobile devices and hardware security, just to name a few.
Paolo Prinetto, director of the national cybersecurity laboratory of Cini (national inter-university consortium for computer science), said the satisfaction for this podium won. “We are satisfied because the Italian national team gave their all and the commitment of our boys is testified by the fact that last night, at the close of the public rankings, Italy was the first team ”.
But the competition saw a sudden change, with the boys from Poland and Germany who managed to win at the last keystroke. “Our congratulations go to Poland and Germany: from our young people, from every country, we have the proof that the world is changing, in solidarity and towards a reality that really has safety at the center“.
The coordinator Gaspare Ferraro he explained that thanks to the team building work during the retreat in Turin the boys were able to give their best. “The harmony they found was also expressed during the European competition. The prize for such commitment is the podium of one of the most relevant cybersecurity competitions in the world “.
The lads showed that they know how to do very well in the finals in Prague. And they will have the opportunity to show their skills again in future races. Races that could also be the springboard for bright careers in the field of information technology.
