Kaspersky renews its commitment to greater transparency. The company has, in fact, shared its first Transparency Report choosing to publicly share requests in 2020 and in the first half of 2021 from government bodies, law enforcement agencies and users regarding data and technical expertise.
Kaspersky focuses on transparency with the new Transparency Report
The company announced the release of its first transparency report, Law enforcement and government requests report. In this report, Kaspersky chooses to share how the company responds to requests for government agencies and law enforcement agencies in order to maximize transparency towards users. In fact, during 2020 Kasperksy received 160 requests by governments and law enforcement agencies in 15 countries. The 28 requests for user data were processed and rejected. The refusal is based on the absence of data or failure to comply with the legal verification requirements.
During first half of 2021instead, the company has already collected 105 requests by governments and law enforcement agencies, for a total of 17 countries involved. 40% of these requests were processed and rejected. The refusals arrived due to lack of data or failure to comply with the regulations related to the legal requirements for verification.
