After a short break, the very young Lapsus hacker $ they returned to the attack. Just yesterday, a message appeared on the group’s Telegram channel in which cybercriminals claim to have stole 70 GB of data from Globant, a well-known international software development company. The announcement immediately aroused concern. The screenshots of the hacked data showed a series of folders referring to some companies known as DHL, C-Span e BNP Paribas. Unfortunately, the list of affected companies also appeared Facebook ed Apple.
Lapsus $: hackers steal data related to Apple’s Health App
Apple also ends up in the sights of Lapsus $ hackers. In some images on the group’s Telegram channel, in fact, there are clear details that refer to the “Apple Health App”. Apparently, the cybercriminals stole data related to the development of theGlobant’s BeHealthy app, designed in collaboration with Apple to track employee health behaviors through the Apple Watch. An attack recognized by Globant herself, who confirmed what had happened in a press release.
“According to our current analysis, the information that was accessed was limited to certain source codes and project documentation for a very limited number of customers. To date, we have found no evidence that other areas of our infrastructure systems or those of our customers have been affected. ” On Telegram, Lapsus $ shared a torrent link to the alleged stolen data with a message announcing: “We are officially back from a vacation”.
This can only mean one thing: the hackers have returned to charge, despite as many as seven suspected members of the group were arrested by British police last week. What we are asking, then, is whether the right perpetrators have been caught. Or what will actually happen to Apple’s and Globant’s stolen data. But maybe we will find out soon.
