Lies of P will be released in August, from day one also on Game Pass

Developer Neowiz has announced the August release of Lies Of P, the Pinocchio-inspired soulslike action game. The title will also be released from day one on Xbox Game Pass, although a precise date is not yet known.

The news comes along with a new trailer for the game. The clip shows a destroyed animatronic whose pieces are being put back together by a tentacled monster.

Lies of P was first announced in 2021 when Neowiz shared the first official trailer for the game. The synopsis on the game’s Steam page:

“Inspired by the Pinocchio fairy tale, Lies of P is a soul-style action game set in a dark Belle Époque world. Guide Pinocchio on his relentless journey to become human. Play as Pinocchio, a puppet and fight everything in your path. But don’t expect any help along the way, and don’t make the mistake of trusting people.”

As far as we know the game is set in the fictional “fallen city of Krat”, inspired by the European cities of the Belle Époque, in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
