Life Is Strange: True Colors will officially come out on September 10, and to celebrate the launch, Square Enix announced the publication of the soundtrack on Spotify. The soundtrack of the Wavelenghts DLC is also included in the album. Among the artists involved are Phoene Bridgers, Michael Kiwanuka, Girl in Red and others.
The game, as fans of the saga will know, is heavily based on narrative and consequently music also plays a fundamental role. Being a video game that aims to arouse strong emotions, a sound accompaniment consistent with the events on the screen is a must.
The words of Zimmerman and Sumner
Jon Zimmerman, Narrative Director di Deck Nine Games, commented:
“Music has always been a core component of Life is Strange. The emotions and feelings that music can arouse are an incredible resource in a game that revolves around empathy. In Life is Strange: True Colors, we wanted players to experience the ups and downs of Alex’s journey visually, emotionally, and audibly. We are delighted to be able to offer a soundtrack that includes so many talented musicians. “
Ben Sumner, music supervisor presso Feel For Music, has explained:
“Since music is so important to Life is Strange, we music supervisors of the series have been trying to raise the bar consistently. Life is Strange: True Colors is our most ambitious project to date, as it includes tons of licensed tracks and new original songs by 3 major artists. We have dedicated ourselves with great passion to make all this possible, so it is wonderful to finally be able to share the fruit of our work with all of you. “
