The Logitech McLaren G Challenge eSports competition returns for the fourth consecutive year with many celebrities including A $ AP Ferg, Lando Norris, William Byron and many other special guests
Logitech G together with McLaren Racing today announce a new look for the G Challenge, an eRacing competition that is ready to thrill racers and racing fans around the world. For fans of motorsport and amateur drivers, the 2021 edition of the Logitech McLaren G Challenge 2021 will open its doors on July 1, 2021, and will feature several innovative additions and challenges. The tournament expands and includes three divisions: Open Wheel, Stock Car and Sport Car Raging. In this fourth year, the G Challenge will be played on iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione, and will see its climax with the Grand Final on January 15, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The winners of the three divisions of 2021 of the Logitech McLaren G Challenge they will win a 4 day trip to London (fully paid), for a behind-the-scene experience of the McLaren Technology Center, with the teachings of F1 driver Lando Norris, as well as a VIP pass for the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone 2022.
Logitech McLaren G Challenge 2021: an important appointment for eSports enthusiasts
To celebrate this year’s new look, Logitech G and McLaren will host a Pro-Am celebrity on July 7th, where celebrities will form two teams to compete in a Stock Car and Open Wheel race. The American pilot William Byron and the McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris they will captain and compose their respective teams. Other celebrities like rapper, singer and songwriter A $ AP Ferg, a pilot of the Arrow McLaren SP, Felix Rosenqvist, the American driver and NASCAR pit reporter Parker Kligerman and Brazilian Indianapolis 500 champion Tony Kanaan will be part of this fantastic show. For Italy there will then be a Wild Card, which will be up for grabs with a dedicated tournament whose modalities will be revealed in the coming weeks. The top three drivers from each division (Open Wheel, Stock Car and Sport Car) will earn a fully paid trip to the Grand Finals Weekend where they will compete for the title. The Grand Finals Weekend will be packed with exciting activities, including a live racing experience on the track with crazy racing cars, official meetings with professional drivers, athletes and other celebrities, as well as the chance to win the McLaren Racing VIP Experience.
