One of the new features that Meta is developing for its social apps is the ability to create custom stickers with artificial intelligence on Messenger: real ones sticker AI. And according to Meta, this will only be the “tip of the iceberg” of the artificial intelligence innovations to be implemented.
Messenger, “AI sticker” coming to the Meta app
The news comes from the words of Ahmad Al-Dahle, AI vice president of Meta, during a company meeting attended by The Verge, which recounted what it said on its website. The idea is to use the image generation model of the company to transform the text instructions in fun and original stickers. Employees will test the feature before it rolls out to the public.
“This will give our users many more options to express themselves, represent their cultures and follow trends,” Al-Dahle said. “But stickers are just the beginning.”
Al-Dahle also announced that the company is working on other AI models which will allow users to edit the images to their liking. For example, they will be able to “change the size of their image”.
Meta first referenced the use of generative AI in its products when Zuckerberg announced that the company now has a tspecialized team.
The company is also delving into artificial intelligence with its own LLaMA language model and recently announced a new open source AI model that combines text, audio, visual, motion, thermal and depth data. Hence, we can expect several novelties like this in the near future.
